This year's charity - total raised £5,800.
White Orange Youth is an African AIDS awareness charity.  Based in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, it works with young people in schools and on the streets to provide health education on a subject that killed 2 million Africans last year.
That's the equivalent of the South Asian Tsunami happening once every two months.

Because schools are too poor to pay, and because many teachers have no knowledge of health education, W.O.Y. provide their services free of charge.  Money raised by our performances of Jesus Christ Superstar this year will give them a much needed injection of money to visit more schools, create a drop-in information centre, and to train more teachers.

If we raise enough, they might even buy a computer and internet connection so people can look up information about AIDS at their drop-in centre.  It would be making a tangible difference to the Kilimanjaro community in Tanzania, where 1 in 5 young people have HIV/AIDS.  Perhaps with our financial help, and W.O.Y.'s commitment, that ratio will be lower in the future.
